Tee Pee ...

I am SOOOOOOO happy to have found this colored version of this picture again (tho the black and white w/brown tint is quite authentic looking) looooong story, but ... when I was very young (3-4 yrs old) my parents used to go the Tee-Pee Res...taurant at the Indiana Fairgrounds after evening church services. This was a tee-pee shaped building and I distinctly remember falling asleep on the black vinyl booths and waking up to see this Indian Chief picture on the wall - I pointed to it and said - "there's grandpa". I do have great-grandparents that were full blooded indians. Pictures of my grandfather and great-grandfather looked sooooo much like this indian chief, I REALLY wonder if he really is my kinfolk :o) ... so then funny thing is ... after ALLLLLL those years - I was at the Dollar Store and found a blanket (which I am presently and nightly wrapped up in) and the image on the blanket is the exact same one as this painting! But I didn't even realize it until 'more' yrs later when I found it on the web and noticed it to compare! THEN I happenstanced upon another version in Meijers a couple yrs later that was a nice poster sized and framed - I bought it and it now hangs in the hallway of my grandpas home, whom it reminded me of in the first place! :o)
